Lab Research

Our research focuses on the brain basis of perceptual and attentional function, in particular mechanisms underlying the prioritized processing of emotionally salient stimuli, face processing, fear conditioning, and individual differences in cortical and subcortical function, the latter including investigation of the neuro-cognitive basis of trait vulnerability to anxiety. Much of the labs work involves functional magnetic resonance imaging. Please use the projects tab to the right-hand side to learn about ongoing work in the lab.

Positions Available/Grad School Applicants

The lab has recently received funding from the Hellman Family Fund and NIMH (through the Biobehavioral Research Awards for Innovative New Scientists (BRAINS) scheme). As a result, we have several openings at levels ranging from RA (between undergrad and grad) to funding for graduate students to post-doctoral positions. Please see our join the lab page for further details.
