Sandeepa Sriram

Sandeepa I am an undergrad at UC Berkeley studying Molecular and Cell Biology with an emphasis on Genetics. Some of you must be wondering what a genetics major is doing in a psych lab. I am working on a genetic study that focuses on the relationship between human cognition and emotional processing and genetic variations. I find this juxtaposition or rather the overlap between pure biology and behavior and its role in shaping how we as individuals interact with the environment around us to be fascinating as it unravels and reveals a bit more about the human condition.

My favorite things to do are jamming (or rather attempting to jam) on my guitar, reading novels (Joyce is the best!), playing piano, hiking,traveling (I like a good adventure), and coordinating/caseworking at Suitcase Clinic (one of the most rewarding experience of my life).
