Michael McCutcheon
Research Assistant
I graduated from UC Berkeley with Honors in 2010 with a degree in Psychology
and a minor in LGBT Studies. Before joining the Bishop team, I worked for Dr.
Lynn Robertson's lab on understanding the process and order of accumulating
facial information of humans. My work as a research assistant in Dr. Bishop's
lab has consisted of developing visual stimuli, grant proposal construction, and
participant recruitment. My time in the Bishop lab has prepared me very well for
the rigors of graduate school lab work. I will begin my graduate work in the fall
of 2010 at NYU, where I will be a Ph.D. student in their Counseling Psychology
Department. My work at NYU will focus on the adolescent coming-out process
and developing counseling methods for adolescents and their support systems
during the transition.
